The sorcerors from Kyoto are planning to kill Yuuji as he is a curse waiting to explode. Gojo asks Lori to exchange a few words of encouragement with the students.

As the competition starts, all groups start to move. Yuji and others aim to capture the second-grade spirit, which will give them the most points. However, as the Tokyo students were about to catch the first spirit. Toudou appears, and Yuji is left behind to take care of him.

Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 16,

Maki orders Yuuji to hold Todou back as he is not needed to exorcise the spirit. Yuuji has to hold back Toudou to buy his friends time to capture the spirit. However, Yuji says that if he fights, he is going to win. Although Yuuji seems to be struggling in the fight, he manages to win Toudou’s favor. Toudou thinks of Yuuji as his best friend now and begins to fight more seriously.

Unfortunately, Yuuji is soon surrounded by all the students from Kyoto Technical School. They all begin to attack him, but Itadori manages to evade all their attacks. Toudou, however, is furious at the fact that his schoolmates interrupted his fight with Itadori.

He orders everyone to leave Itadori alone and go away. Scared, his schoolmates leave; however, they meet with Yuuji’s friends, and a fight begins. Therefore, we will get to know more about this in Episode 16 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
