You must be wondering, what’s the reason – why are we mentioning these episodes particularly? Well, that’s because one of the staff members of Black Clover revealed some major details regarding the upcoming episodes.
According to the updates, Black Clover anime won’t be following the plot of manga for a while. There are too many things going on with the franchise, let us break it down for you.
The 122nd episode of Black Clover covers chapters 218, 219 and 220. Which means the manga is only 20 chapters ahead of the anime.
So, here’s the deal – The anime will catch up to the manga in not more than 10 episodes. If it were to happen, the anime won’t have a story to follow, as the story revolves around the plot of the manga.

Don’t worry, the plot won’t be much different from that of the manga. The creator and his staff have decided to introduce some filler episodes to the viewers.
According to our sources, The filler episodes include- Black Clover Episode 123, Black Clover Episode 124, and Black Clover Episode 125.

Episode 122 has done an amazing job in showing us the bonds of Black Bull, yet again. Moreover, with the intensely animated story, the franchise is becoming more popular gradually.
The episode was titled as, As Pitch Black as it gets. Viewers are now very eager for Black Clover Episode 123.
Besides this, a new opening and ending theme is highly anticipated in the forthcoming episodes. The new OP and ED might drop by or around Black Clover Episode 125.
The creator of Black Clover will be helping out the staff to create the filler episodes, the episode includes Nero aka Secre Swallowtail’s past. They might be filler episodes, however, they are required as Nero’s character development is a must.

The episode title is out, the episode will cover up Nero’s Memories Part 1. Everything from Nero’s point of view must be tragic. How she has turned herself into a bird as a sacrifice and all the magic knights she has seen in her life.
Moreover, the episode might cover up the experiences Nero had with the first Wizard King. All those discoveries will definitely play an important role in the upcoming arcs.
The preview for Black Clover Episode 123 says: On that day, 500 years ago. The tragedy between the humans and the elves happened. And it was all caused by a devil. The episode is titled, “Nero Reminisces… Part One”. The next two episodes will surely be fun to watch episodes filled with emotional flashback scenes.

Black Clover Episode 124
The 124th episode of Black Clover will cover up the second and the last part of Nero’s past. The episode will most probably focus on the events after the first Wizard King turned into stone.

The 125th episode of Black Clover anime will be another filler episode. But the episode will be following the manga. Black Bulls will now work together on their destroyed base and recreate it to the original.
Synopsis: The Black Bulls return to where their hideout once was. As they try to reconstruct their hideout, the Black Bulls become drained and collapse, one by one. What could be happening to them?

Why the fillers were Required?
As we said, the anime will catch up to the manga in the next 10 episodes. So, fillers are a must in order to prevent that. Moreover, according to our sources, the next arc will be related to the “Heart Kingdom”.
