Cheers to another anime revealing the release date of its second season! The official Twitter account of The Promised Neverland has released the commercial video featuring brief footage of its second season. Furthermore, During the live stream of Fuji TV Anime Lineup Press Conference 2020. It was unveiled that the second season will premiere On Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block on January 7, 2021.

The second season was previously scheduled to premiere in October. Nonetheless, it got delayed due to the effects of COVID-19 on the production.

About the Manga

The Japanese manga series is serial in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump. The manga series has been premiered from August 2016 till June 2020. Kaiu Shirai has written the manga series and Posuka Demizu has illustrated it. Clover Works has later adapted the manga series into television anime series.

Story 

The plot follows a happy orphanage supposedly where the kids get the best food and the best lives. The protagonist is an Eleven-year-old girl, Emma who loves the mother of the orphanage. The mother is Raising these children to Feed the Demon. Furthermore, she along with her friends Norman and Ray try their best to build an escape route. Under those circumstances, Ray Norman and Emma leave no stone unturned to save the most in the orphans from death.

As a matter of fact, Chapter 181.1 was published as a Special side story: The First Shot. The first shot debuted in the 44th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on 5th October. Also, a new one-shot chapter of The promised neverland manga is set to release in an exhibition in Tokyo this winter.

As for the live-action of The Promised Neverland, it is set to release on 18 December. Nonetheless, Amazon is developing a separate English language for the live-action series.
